With the help of our managed email marketing service, we’ve been part of the Let’s Go Zero strategy to increase school sign-ups to their national campaign by 33%.

THE STORY

As part of our Buzz Does Sustainability strategy, we reached out to Let’s Go Zero, a campaign run by Ashden Climate Solutions, to help the team expand their reach in education.

Let’s Go Zero were looking to expand their reach in education, raise awareness of the free support they offer for schools and encourage schools to create legislative change by signing up to the Let’s Go Zero campaign. 

Let’s Go Zero is the national campaign uniting schools working to become zero carbon by 2030. As well as helping schools to reduce their carbon footprint, Let’s Go Zero advocates for the UK government to invest in the solutions schools need to reach this goal. The campaign is powered by climate solutions charity, Ashden.

We were excited to partner with Buzz Education because their values around sustainability so clearly align with our own. It felt like they were as invested in the campaign as we were. Their expertise in school communications made them a natural fit for helping us reach more teachers across the UK.

THE STRATEGY

Our education marketing copywriter worked with the team to optimise their email campaign content and structure, sharing tips and insights throughout their marketing journey to expand their reach, increase teacher engagement and amplify their sign-ups.

With the copy finalised, our digital design team then crafted bold, eye-catching campaigns that perfectly synced with their branding. 

Across their campaigns, we helped Let’s Go Zero to promote their free Carbon Literacy Training for educators, connect schools with their regional Climate Action Advisors to create bespoke climate action plans and promote their Climate Action Countdown – a fun, impactful week of climate activities.

The Buzz Education team offered great advice throughout, from the best timing for the email to tips on messaging that resonates with educators. The email campaign was beautifully put together and their understanding of how schools engage with marketing communications helped us fine-tune our approach.”

Following each email broadcast, we shared a post-campaign analytics report with the team at Let’s Go Zero to help guide their next steps and inform the content of their upcoming campaigns.

THE RESULTS

Through our six-month partnership, we helped Let’s Go Zero to expand their reach in education and significantly increase their school sign-ups, empowering schools across the UK to take positive steps towards a more sustainable future. We also helped the team to gain a deeper understanding of how schools engage with email marketing content. 

Buzz Education was part of a strategy that helped us to increase school sign-ups. We achieved increased uptake of our Carbon Literacy Training sessions, and more schools reaching out to connect with our Climate Action Advisors. The reach and engagement has helped us achieve our strategic aims.
